More Alike than Different

All photos should tell a story. Not the minor insight provided in the caption or story block, but the narrative created by the image itself. The Roman philosopher Cicero said, "The face is a picture of the mind as the eyes are its interpreter,” and we’ve all heard that the eyes are the windows to the soul. My hope is that the portraits presented here reveal the story that resides behind the eyes. As you flip through the images, you’ll notice that some folks are younger, some more mature; a few have great intuition, a couple reveal their naivety; some are happy, while others seem to bear the weight of the world on their shoulders. Regardless of these differences, as people we’re much more alike than we are different. See if you don’t see yourself in these images. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them. I owe so many thanks to those who have shared the intimacies of their rich and varied souls with us. Let our walk through the gallery begin . . . .
